I think it is the intimidation, does he know how many kinky things you have?
if not act like it is all new to you and want to explore it together with him, he will feel more comfortable and probaly tell you what his secret fantasies are it's all about the fun of experimentation. Just think about how you would feel if he suddenly produced a vibrating fanny and said come on lets play, but i do really like your fanny too. It just seems insincere and you would feel a wee bit threatened.
if he does know about the amount you have he may be concerned about who else has used them on you which leads to thoughts of how he compares in bed.

Tell him it's like coffee with a cigarette, coffee is great on it's own, but with a naughty ciggie at the same time it's even better.
